My parents were supportive of my goals in science! They were pleased that I wanted to be a scientist or a doctor, so they encouraged me. They weren’t quite so sure it was a good idea to work in writing and communication, instead of being a lab scientist, but I think that was because they weren’t very familiar with that kind of work. Now that they can see it’s going well, they’re happy for me!
