I am currently working on two super interesting projects that have developed from my astrobiology research:
1) Trying to identify microbes that are growing in nickel-contaminated wastewater (it is bright green) to see if we can use them to capture the nickel.2) Trying to see if microbes from the extreme environments we work with produce any interesting chemicals that could be used as antibiotics.

Yes! I am currently studying how the ovary develops in mice and also I just started a project on human ovaries. We get samples from the IVF clinic and do cool analyses on them to trying to find out why some people may have problem conceiving!
