Thank you for your question! There are a lot of difficult steps in this process! One of them is that we are studying diseases that have started a long time before we understand that a person has them. For example, in Alzheimer’s disease in which a person starts forgetting quite a lot, the disease starts around 20 years before the doctor can understand that this is the disease that the person has. By that time, a lot of changes have happened to the brain and body that we can’t change back. We are trying to change that by finding blood tests that can help us understand who has the disease much earlier and we are making good progress on that!
